VFD Marketing Predicts the MTV Video Music Awards
MTV has just revealed the complete list of the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards nominees and with no less than 8 selections, the incredible Beyonce leads the VMA’s nominations! Actually, Jay-Z’s wife is competing in a total of 8 different categories, including the most prestigious ones such as the video of the year and the best collaboration. However, even tho Queen-B is more likely to win at least 1 little statuette, nothing can be taken for granted for the singer.
Her Drunk in Love will be facing serious competitors in the best music video category: Pharrell Williams and his epic Happy song, Sia and her surprising Chandelier music video, Miley Cyrus who will be once again defending her sulfurous Wrecking Ball released by David Richardson, and finally the fabulous Iggy Azalea nominated with her song Fancy.
We asked the VFD Marketing employees their opinions on who would take home the coveted Video of the Year Moonman. You can find the complete list of the 2014 MTV Video Music awards at MTV.com
Daniel: “I predict the ageless wonder Pharrell will bring this one home with Happy. After seeing him perform at Coachella, I don’t see how the most popular song of the year can’t win.”
Elie: “While I am disappointed by the lack of EDM videos in this category, I have to give the award to Fancy by Iggy Azelia. This video reminds me of high school with its Clueless theme.”
Alex: “2 words: Miley Cyrus. Since the day she broke out as Hannah Montana, the daughter of Billy Ray has taken come through like a Wrecking Ball and she will do the same at this award show.”
Melie: “Beyonce is the undisputed queen of music right now. After getting snubbed years ago for Single Ladies the voters know better than to not vote for her because if someone but her takes home this award, you know Kanye will take it back for her.”
John: “I always pull for the underdog, and while Sia’s chances may be slim, I have to stick with her.”
