Event Models from VFD Present at the ‘Ark of Taste’ Benefit Dinner

February 11, 2014

Slow Food Miami recently hosted the ‘Ark of Taste’ benefit dinner featuring James Beard Award Winning Chef Michael Schwartz on Tuesday, January 28th at The Kampong of the National Botanical Garden in Coconut Grove, Florida. This highly exclusive event costed esteemed guests $250 per person as the proceeds benefitted Slow Food Miami, a national non-profit organization dedicated to supporting healthy, quality, clean and fair food with a major emphasis on educating and encouraging local community efforts in growing such food.

Attendees of this incredible event were welcomed by a delectable array of tropical fruit cultivars and flowering trees. VFD event models Krista and Michelle greeted guests and passed out specialty cocktails courtesy of Grey Goose Vodka. This evening under the stars was completed with a four-course meal prepared by Chef Michael Schwartz. In regards to the event Chef Michael Schwartz stated, “I’m thrilled to be a part of the ‘Ark’ Program for the fifth time, and thought what a great opportunity it would be for our special new restaurant to participate. Deciding to do the event in January was key so we could embrace our main growing season down here, especially since Borek’s tomatoes are at their peak.”

As usual, the Grey Goose inspired cocktails were a huge hit among guests and complimented the ambiance of the night quite elegantly. With the VFD Models in attendance, the ‘Ark of Taste’ Benefit Dinner in the Kampong Tropical Botanical Gardens was a surefire success.
