Joanna Jedrzejczyk Was A Striking Machine At UFC Fight Night 69

June 23, 2015

UFC Fight Night 69 took place this past Saturday at the O2 World Berlin in Germany and Joanna Jedrzejczyk showed us why she wants to be the Ronda Rousey of the strawweight division. She lit Jessica Penne up and caught the attention of the entire MMA world with her performance. Penne showed amazing resilience, absorbing punishment for 3 rounds, but her bloodied face told no lies. Joanna Jedrzejczyk put on a show that few are capable of in MMA.

Tatsuya Kawajiri defeated Dennis Siver via decision in the third round of this veteran featherweight battle. All three judges scored the fight 29-28 to give Kawajiri the unanimous decision.

Best of the rest:

Peter Sobotta defeated Steve Kennedy in the first round via submission.

Nick Hein beat Lukasz Sajewski in a unanimous decision.

This was an important international event in that it propelled Polish star Joanna Jedrzejczyk front and center as one of the next UFC it-athletes. Having an Eastern European champion adds diversity at the top of the UFC and creates interesting marketing opportunities. As a sports marketing agency, VFD gives brands the opportunity to capitalize on the growing popularity of MMA and the UFC. Watch out for Joanna in the months to come as companies attempt to capitalize on her instant fame.
