Travis Browne And Andrei Arlovski Earn $50,000 For Fight Of The Night

June 19, 2015

The numbers are in for UFC 187 and Anthony “Rumble” Johnson and Chris Weidman led the pack earning $500,000 each for their efforts Saturday night. Even though Daniel Cormier won the vacant light heavyweight title over Johnson, he earned $180,00 and Vitor Belfort earned $300,000 in defeat.

The “Fight of the Night” $50,000 bonuses went to VFD’s own
Travis Browne and Andrei Arlovski for their legendary first round. Andrei may have gotten the victory, but Travis made him give all he had in defeat. They are both friends and warriors, and showed their guts on Saturday night.

Chris Weidman and Daniel Cormier both earned $50,000 bonuses for “Performance of the Night”. They both put forth championship caliber performances and showed grit in coming back from early fight struggles.

VFD gives brands and athletes opportunities to capitalize on the popularity of MMA and the UFC. These paydays and bonuses that we listed do not include what fighters earned from endorsements. Many fighters make the majority of their fight income from endorsements in and out of the Octagon. Brands and athletes are able to take advantage of great events like UFC 187 this past Saturday to drive business.
