Travis Browne And Andrei Arlovski Put On Show At UFC 187

June 19, 2015

If you missed UFC 187 in Las Vegas on Saturday night, you missed VFD Sports Marketing Client Travis Browne and his long time friend Andrei Arlovski put on a heavyweight show. Arlovski may have come out on top via TKO, but he almost got knocked out in the process in what will go down as one if not the best round of 2015.

In the main event, Daniel Cormier took a heavy shot from Anthony “Rumble” Johnson and scrambled to recover, before systematically taking Johnson apart with his superior wrestling. In the third round, the fight was all but over when Johnson tapped the Octagon mat. Daniel Cormier is now the lightweight champion and as he said in the post-fight interview, he’s waiting for Jon Jones.

Chris Weidman made it clear that he’s the man; not just at middleweight, but in the entire UFC. After absorbing the best of Vitor Belfort’s current striking prowess, Weidman changed gears, took Belfort down and ended the fight like it was nothing. As Chris Weidman goes through the entire middleweight division, it’s clear that he’s not planning to give anything away anytime soon.

Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone looked great against John Makdessi. He put on a clinic in victory and in Dana White’s words, is next in line for a title shot.

Joseph Benavidez easily took care of John Moraga making his claim for another shot at Demetrious Johnson.

VFD gives brands the opportunity to capitalize on the growing popularity of the UFC. Notable brands like MusclePharm, 1LAW and MateFit were on display this weekend at UFC 187. It was another great show from the name in MMA.
