UFC 191 Preview

September 2, 2015

The UFC is back from its minor hiatus with UFC 191 live from Las Vegas this Saturday at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. In the main event, the flyweight champion and relatively unbeatable Demetrious Johnson takes on John Dodson for the second time. Dodson gave Johnson the hardest fight he’s seen to date, and is looking to grow on that experience to win this time around. It’s not going to be easy, but as the fight goes longer, so does Johnson’s stranglehold on the lightweight title.

In the co-main event, Andrei Arlovski takes on Frank Mir in a fight for the top of the heavyweight division. No this is not 2010, but rather an interesting battle between two unlikely resurgent fighters. They both are UFC legends and this one will be a fun one.

Anthony “Rumble” Johnson takes on Jimi Manuwa in a light heavyweight battle. Johnson is looking to bounce back from his loss to Daniel Cormier for the title. He was in the news recently for domestic issues, and many people feel he should not be allowed to fight. Regardless, we’ll see if this has any effect on his performance.

Jan Blackowicz takes on Corey Anderson in a light heavyweight fight. This one will put both fighters to the test.

Paige VanZant battles Alex Chambers in the women’s strawweight division. VanZant is a heavy favorite in her quest towards the top.
