UFC 192 Preview

October 14, 2015

If you didn’t hear the latest news, Johny Hendricks is out of his co-main event eliminator fight with Tyron Woodley due to weight cutting issues. This is a big loss to the UFC 192 card in Houston and a tough one for Hendricks who felt like he was passed over for his rightful title fight. Dana White announced that Woodley is next in line for either Robbie Lawler or Carlos Condit, so at the end of the day, Woodley still wins.

In the main event, Daniel Cormier takes on Alexander Gustafson in his first light heavyweight title defense in a Jon Jones-less division. Many are picking Gustafson in an upset due to his size and constant striking, but Cormier will have something to say about that. This fight is intriguing because you don’t really know which way it will go. What we do know is that they’re both going to bring it.

Ryan Bader takes on Rashad Evans in Evans’ first fight in two years due to injury. Which Evans will show up is the big question. Bader has shown improvement as of late, so this won’t be a cakewalk for either fighter.

Best of the rest:

Shawn Jordan versus Ruslan Magomedov in a heavyweight battle.

Joseph Benavidez and Ali Baugatinov in a flyweight contest.

Jessica Eye against Julianna Pena in a women’s bantamweight fight.
