UFC 192 Recap

October 14, 2015

UFC 192 in Houston has come and gone, and the main event was a real war. Alexander Gustafson pushed Daniel Cormier to the limit, but in the end, Cormier prevailed in a split decision. Cormier himself admitted that he’s never been so beat up in his life. With a Jon Jones fight on the horizon, he will retain the belt for at least a little longer.

Since Johny Hendricks pulled out of his co-main event with Tyron Woodley, Rashad Evans’ comeback fight against Ryan Bader took center stage. Unfortunately for Sugar Rashad, things didn’t turn out as expected. Bader took down Evans via unanimous decision, riding a 5-fight win streak of his own.

Best of the rest:

Ruslan Magomedov beat Shawn Jordan in a unanimous decision.

Joseph Benavidez defeated Ali Baugatinov via decision.

Jessica Eye lost to Julianna Pena in a unanimous decision.
