UFC 194 Aldo Vs McGregor Card Getting Stacked

September 2, 2015

If you thought that UFC 194 on December 12 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas was just going to be a big main event with some appetizers, you thought wrong. The co-main event is going to be Chris Weidman and Luke Rockhold for the middleweight championship. The fight before that is just as great, as Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza takes on Yoel Romero in a middleweight eliminator match.

You can’t accuse Weidman of looking past Rockhold, but his comments about not retiring without fighting the suspended Jon Jones shows that he’s conscious of his legacy and has no lack of confidence. Rockhold jumped over Jacare in the rankings at UFC on Fox 15 when he beat up Lyoto Machida in convincing fashion. Jacare on the hand was stuck with last minute replacement Chris Comozzi due to his opponent Romero’s injury.

Which brings us to the next fight, where Jacare looks to really send a message to the UFC that he deserved the title shot when he faces the man whose injury derailed his title shot chances. Romero is on a six-fight win streak of his own, so look for a real battle.

UFC 194 is shaping up to be nothing short of a supercard. December can’t come any sooner.
