UFC 194 Preview: Aldo Vs McGregor

December 9, 2015

Welcome to the show everyone has been waiting for, UFC 194, Jose Aldo versus Conor McGregor. When Aldo dropped out of this fight the first time, people didn’t know what McGregor would do with Chad Mendes, even on short notice. There were a lot of what ifs after the outcome, but McGregor knocked him out just like he said he would.

Enter the number 1-pound for pound fighter in the world, Jose Aldo. There’s a reason why everyone praises him and there’s a reason why he needs to be his best to beat Conor McGregor. Just enjoy the show with this one, because once the talking is done and those two men are staring across the cage at each other, there’s only one thing that can happen and those are fireworks.

Chris Weidman is in his familiar co-main event slot. This time he takes on Luke Rockhold for the middleweight belt. Many are overlooking Rockhold, but in matchups likes these, you never know what’s going to happen. Look at what happened in the Ronda Rousey fight.

Yoel Romero takes on a disgruntled Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza in a middleweight eliminator bought. The winner will most likely take on the winner of Weidman/Rockhold. This will be another great match.

In the first two fights on the main card, Max Holloway takes on Jeremy Stephens in a featherweight matchup. Demian Maia will fight Gunnar Nelson in another great welterweight bout. If there ever was a PPV to order, this is the one. It not only contains a superfight, but is also a supercard.

You can catch the main card live on PPV at 10pm ET on Saturday. The prelims will be on Fox Sports 1 at 8pm ET.
