UFC Fight Night 69 Features First UFC Fight Pass Title Fight

June 23, 2015

There has never been a title fight on UFC Fight Pass until this Saturday in Berlin, Germany, where UFC Fight Night 69 takes place. The main event of the evening in the O2 World will pit UFC women’s strawweight champ Joanna Jedrzejczyk against #3 ranked Jessica Penne.

At 9-0, Joanna is a force to be reckoned with, calling herself the Ronda Rousey of the strawweight division. On Saturday night we’ll see if she can walk the walk. Penne is an interesting matchup for Jedrzejczyk because she is a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and has good standup kickboxing skills. If this fight stays off the mat, it might be a slugfest.

#12 ranked featherweight Dennis Siver takes on Pride veteran and #15 ranked Tatsuya Kawajiri in the co-main event. Both fighters are coming off of losses, Siver to Conor McGregor and Kawajiri to a rejuvenated Clay Guida. These two veterans both need wins and might just put on a show.

Best of the rest:

Peter Sobotta versus Steve Kennedy in a welterweight battle.

Nick Hein against undefeated Lukasz Sajewski in an interesting fight pitting the up and comer against a more seasoned Hein.

As an MMA marketing agency, VFD gives brands opportunities to take advantage of the growing popularity of MMA and the UFC. The UFC continues to show its international popularity with its return to Germany this Saturday. A title fight appearing on UFC Fight Pass for the first time is a big deal, and the UFC brand is only getting stronger.

You can catch the preliminary fights on UFC Fight Pass at 12pm ET and the main card at 3pm ET due to the European time change.
