UFC Fight Night 75 Recap

September 30, 2015

The UFC hit Japan last Saturday with UFC Fight Night 75, live from the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan. The main event featured Roy Nelson against Josh Barnett in a heavyweight clash that went the distance. Both fighters put on a show for the crowd, with heavy activity throughout the fight. Josh Barnett won in a lopsided decision, but Nelson showed why he’s still near the top of the division.

Uriah Hall was the story coming out of this event. He upset Gegard Mousasi with an amazing spinning back kick to the face that knocked Mousasi down. All that was left was for Hall to pounce and get a stoppage, defeating the higher ranked Mousasi on short notice. Look out UFC. If this Uriah Hall comes to fight, middleweight division beware.

Best of the rest:

    • Chico Camus defeated Kyoji Horiguchi by decision.
    • Takeya Mizugaki beat George Roop by decision.
    • Diego Brandao defeated Katsunori Kikuno via TKO.
  • Mizuto Hirota and Teruto Ishihara fought to a draw.
