21-Year Old Jordan Spieth Has Historic Win At Masters

April 13, 2015

With Jordan Spieth, the experts had him on the short list of potential PGA Tour major winners, but no one expected him to hit Augusta National this year and win in such dominating fashion. Spieth, only 21 years of age, finished Sunday with an 18-under 270 for the four-day event, tying Tiger Woods’ record for best Masters score ever.

Spieth actually had a putt on 18 to claim Tiger’s record, but a bogey on ironically maybe his worst stroke of the week changed his score, but not the outcome. Winning a professional golf tournament is one of the most difficult things to do, let alone defeating the world’s best golfers and never giving up the lead in a wire-to-wire victory.

The future of American golf is here and his name is Jordan Spieth. Only time will tell how his young career shapes up, but the smart money is on Jordan to be an exciting contender for years to come.
