Leonard Garcia Set to Battle Cody McKenzie at UFC 159
Every time Leonard “Bad Boy” Garcia steps inside the UFC Octagon, it’s a show. Known for his guns-blazing style of striking, Garcia is without a doubt the fighter everyone wants to see – win, lose or draw.
On April 27th, Garcia will return to the cage, facing Cody McKenzie at UFC 159. This will be Bad Boy’s sixth appearance inside the Octagon, with sights on another fight night bonus.
Leonard Garcia has two Fight of the Night bonuses in the UFC, and another 5 during his stint with WEC, including the famous 2010 Fight of the Year encounter with The Korean Zombie. As always, Garcia will be representing the world-famous Team Jackson’s-Winkeljohn’s from Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Guillotine choke master Cody McKenzie will enter the arena with a record of 13-3, known to the fans as The Ultimate Fighter 12 season winner. McKenzie is a tough nut to crack, with good grappling skills, and a big reach advantage over any fighter in the UFC Featherweight division.
However, Leonard Garcia is no stranger to danger, and will be looking to deliver fans another show they will never forget.
UFC 159 is one of this year’s most anticipated events, headlined by the Light Heavyweight title fight between Jon Jones and Chael Sonnen. The event will take place at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. Main card will be aired on Pay-Per-View, while prelims are dissected between Facebook and FX.
