Leonard Garcia Signs with Legacy Fighting Championship

May 11, 2013

VFD Sports Marketing athlete Leonard Garcia has officially signed with Legacy Fighting Championship.

After six consecutive appearances inside the Octagon, Leonard Garcia will be looking for a new challenge with the Texas-based Legacy FC (also known as LFC).

Garcia is excited to start his journey with Legacy FC, with sights on reaching new goals with the promotion. Here’s what “Bad Boy” had to say via MMAJunkie.com:

“For me to want to stay in the UFC right now would be the wrong choice for me because that's five (straight losses)," he told MMAjunkie.com after the fight. "There's no way that I could justify it to the other fighters that are back here and work hard that have been cut after one or two losses.”

Leonard Garcia is expected to make his debut on July 19, facing the 10-time LFC veteran Rey Trujillo (14-10).

Known for his exciting ‘guns blazing’ style of fighting, Leonard Garcia (15-11-1) has 7 Fight Night awards under WEC/UFC, and the prestigious Fight of the Year award for his legendary scrap (decision victory) with “The Korean Zombie” Chan Sung Jung.
