List of UFC Dates in April Featuring VFD Sports Athletes
Nick Diaz’s UFC 158 main event clash with Georges St. Pierre was the highlight of VFD Sports Marketing calendar in March, but things are expected to get even more interesting this coming April.
No less than four VFD athletes - Travis Browne, Bart Palaszewski, Diego Brandao, Erik Perez and Leonard Garcia are all scheduled to test their skills inside the UFC Octagon. VFD Sports Marketing clients will enjoy premier exposure from the Ericsson Globe Arena in Stockholm, Sweden, to the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

UFC on Fuel TV 9 (April 6)
Ericsson Globe Arena in Stockholm, Sweden
UFC’s return to Stockholm will be headlined by the Light Heavyweight scrap between Alexander “The Mauler” Gustafsson and Gegard Mousasi. TUF 14 Winner Diego Brandao also competes on the card, facing Pablo Garza in a fight that has Fight of the Night written all over it. Diego won his last fight in the UFC, and clearly wants to go on a winning streak against Garza. Brandao’s fight is on the main card, which will be aired LIVE (via a tape delay) on Fuel TV.
TUF 17 Finale (April 13)
Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada
Not one but two VFD Sports Marketing fighters are competing on this card. Top heavy-hitter Travis Browne takes on the former title challenger Gabriel Gonzaga, with sights on proving he’s still the man to beat in the division. Bart Palaszewski will go toe-to-toe with Cole Miller on the Fuel TV portion of the card. Both fighters are veterans of the game, known for a 'guns blazing' style of fighting. TUF 17 Finale is aired LIVE on FX, headlined by Urijah Faber vs. Scott Jorgensen 135lbs fight.
UFC 159 (April 27)
Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey
UFC 159 is undoubtedly one of the biggest MMA events of the year, headlined by the long-anticipated clash between two TUF 17 coaches – Jon Jones (champion) and Chael Sonnen, for the UFC Light Heavyweight title. Also on the card, VFD Sports Marketing fan-favorites Leonard Garcia and Erik “El Goyito” Perez will be looking to prove a point inside the Octagon. Erik Perez’s (3-0 in the UFC) opponent across the cage will be the always dangerous Johnny Bedford. This is a big fight for Goyito, who wants to cement his status as ‘the next big thing’ in the UFC. As for Garcia, the only thing we can predict for this fight is whether he will be taking home the Submission of the Night, KO of the Night or Fight of the Night award. Bad Boy takes on another TUF alumni – Cody McKenzie. Fight card placement of this event is yet to be determined.
