This Saturday night welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre will return and compete inside the octagon for the first time since April 2011 against interim welterweight champion Carlos Condit.  Condit has been training with VFD Sports’ own Coach Mike Winkeljohn at Jackson-Winkeljohn MMA in Albuquerque to prepare for this fight.

UFC 154 will take place at the Bell Centre on GSP’s home turf in Montreal and will answer the question of “who is the the undisputed welterweight champion?”  It is certain to be a great bout that will either cement GSP’s legacy as one of the best of all time or contribute to Condit’s rising stardom as the undisputed champ.

Also cementing their legacy inside the octagon is VFD Sports exclusive sponsor MusclePharm.  MP will flexing their muscles as they will be in the corner of 6 athletes between the preliminary card (airing on FX) and main card (airing on PPV).

The following bouts can be seen during the preliminaries on FX.

The first MP athlete to compete is lightweight John Makdessi who will face fellow Canadian Sam Stout.  Makdessi comes into the contest with a professional record of 9-2-0.

Next on the card is lightweight Rafael Dos Anjos fighting out of Rio Di Janeiro, Brazil.  Dos Anjos will compete against Mark Bocek.  Dos Anjos will look to improve his record (17-6-0) in front of Bocek’s home country crowd.

Alessio Sakara takes on Patrick Cote in a middleweight bout in which the Italian will look to score his 20th professional MMA win (19-9-0, 1NC).

The following fights can be viewed during the main event card on PPV.

The fourth athlete to don the MusclePharm logo is Canadian featherweight Mark Hominick (20-11-0).  Hominick will do battle against American Pablo Garza, in what will certainly be an exciting fight.

Costa Phillipou will take on Nick Ring in another battle of North America as they are fighting out of the United States and Canada respectively.  Phillipou boasts a record of 11-2-0, 1NC.

Rounding out the card before the night’s main event is is welterweight hopeful Martin Kampmann (20-5-0) who is taking on Johny Hendricks in a thrilling contest.
