Sponsorships Aplenty At X Games Austin 2015

Action and extreme sports are huge right now. Just look at the gate numbers, ESPN and ABC’s coverage of the X Games Austin 2015 and the list of great sponsors and it’s clear that this is not a grass roots event anymore.

Official sponsors of the X Games Austin included returning brands America’s Navy, GoPro, Harley-Davidson and Monster Energy. Bud Light and Toyota joined that already robust list as new official sponsors. Other sponsors included Kevlar, DuPont, Fruit of the Loom, Skype, Oakley, 7UP and FRAM.

You may have noticed that some of these names spend marketing dollars on the UFC as well. FRAM actually had Johny Hendricks and Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone on site this past weekend for some crossover promotion. Harley-Davidson and Bud Light are also prominently displayed in the Octagon.

X Games marketing is on the radar of top companies and exposure is growing exponentially. VFD finds sports activation opportunities at a tremendous value to organizations and this was made clear at X Games Austin. Be it a great GoPro camera athlete shot or Toyota becoming the new official automotive sponsor of the X Games, there is great upside for any company wanting to get involved with action sports.
