The past week was very exciting and eventful for VFD Sports and VFD athletes.

Travis ‘Hapa’ Browne announced via twitter that he will thankfully not need surgery due to an injury sustained while fighting fellow VFD athlete Antonio ‘Bigfoot’ Silva at UFC on FX 5 in Minneapolis last weekend.

Bart ‘Bartimus’ Palaszewski also told us over twitter jokingly misspelling that he is now a ‘collage’ student.  Congratulations and good luck Bartimus!

Coach Mike Winkeljohn celebrated a birthday last week and appreciated the well wishes and the support.  Happy birthday Coach Wink!

Clay ‘The Carpenter’ Guida and Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone both attended the FX program, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia premiere in LA.  Check out Clay and Cowboy enjoying the event.

Edson ‘Junior’ Barboza sends out an inspirational quote on his facebook page.  See what he had to say here.

UFC 153 was held in Rio Di Janeiro this past weekend and VFD Sports athletes Diego ‘BoOM’ Brandao and Luiz ‘Banha’ Cane had the opportunity to compete in their home country of Brazil.

Cane went the distance in a hard fought battle against Chris Camozzi but was unable to pick up the victory.

Brandao, The Ultimate Fighter 14 winner, also fought hard for 15 minutes against Joey Gambino picking up the victory in convincing fashion by unanimous decision. Check out Diego’s post-fight interview.  Congrats Diego!

Tune in next week for more information about your favorite VFD Sports athletes and be sure to follow us!
