Travis Browne vs. Josh Barnett Official for UFC 168

September 30, 2013

VFD Sports Marketing star Travis Browne will be looking to once and for all solidify his place as the #1 contender in the UFC Heavyweight division, facing Josh Barnett at UFC 168. This is without a doubt one of the biggest Heavyweight bouts of 2013, with both fighters looking to prove a point inside the Octagon.

More than anything, UFC 168 presents one of the most impressive fight cards in recent memory. The event is headlined by Chris Weidman vs. Anderson Silva rematch, while the super grudge match between TUF coaches Ronda Rousey and Miesha Tate serves as the co-main event. UFC President Dana White has already declared that UFC 168 is going to be bigger than the legendary UFC 100 event that took place back in 2009.

Travis “Hapa” Browne comes to this fight on a two-fight winning streak, and fresh off the spectacular TKO victory over Alistair Overeem on FOX Sports 1. Hapa’s overall MMA record currently stands at 15 victories and just one defeat.

As for Josh Barnett, previously known as “The Baby-faced Assassin” and now as “The Warmaster”, this 15-year MMA vet is surely a force to be reckoned with. In his most recent appearance inside the Octagon, Barnett got his hand raised against Frank Mir, with sights on paving his way towards a title shot.

UFC 168 takes place on December 28, 2013 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Tickets are now available via TicketMaster.com.
