TUF 17 Finale Preview: Bart Palaszewski Stays Committed to the Octagon

April 2, 2013

In less than two weeks, Bart Palaszewski will return to the UFC Octagon, facing Cole Miller at TUF 17 Finale event in Las Vegas, Nevada. This will be the fourth time “Bartimus” sets his foot on the ultimate proving ground for fighters, with sights on getting back on track in the UFC Featherweight division.

Born in Warsaw, Poland, and now fighting out of Wonder Lake, Illinois, Bart Palaszewski is without a doubt ‘one of the originals’.

Competing professionally since 2002, Palaszewski’s career took off with four consecutive defeats. Nevertheless, Bartimus proved he’s a true warrior with 8 straight comeback victories that quite frankly resurrected his career.

Today, Palaszewski once again proves his commitment to the sport by facing the challenge of balancing private life with the extremely tough and demanding pre-fight training camp at Team Curran in Chicago, Illinois.

Bart Palaszewski has a two-digit number of tattoos on his body, he gets paid for fighting inside the cage, and has 17 knockouts on his record. Yet, Bartimus is a devoted family man – with young daughter and a pregnant wife (another daughter on the way).

Combining family life with fighting on such a high level is an absolute definition of commitment in the world of Mixed Martial Arts.

That’s why some of the greatest stories in this sport are taking place behind the scenes. Every fighter is fighting not only for his personal ambitions, but also for his friends and family.
