UFC 157 Preview: Rousey vs. Carmouche

February 23, 2013

Ultimate Fighting Championship is the biggest MMA promotion on the planet. For over two decades, hundreds of elite fighters tested their skills inside the Octagon in multiple weight divisions.

This Saturday, the UFC will celebrate another important landmark in its rich history. For the first time ever, two women will compete on the biggest stage of them all. We are talking about the champion Ronda Rousey (6-0) and the challenger Liz Carmouche (8-2), who will fight for the UFC Bantamweight title.

Rousey vs. Carmouche headlines the card (UFC 157), which only proves that MMA is truly an extraordinary sport. It’s a perfect platform for anyone regardless of sex, age, religion, nationality or ethnicity, to test their skills and athletic abilities.

More than anything, Ronda Rousey is a true superstar, with a natural ability to attract not only the fans, but also the biggest ‘players’ on the market. The media attention for this fight is immense, and we just can’t wait before those two chicks hook ‘em up.

UFC 157 takes place at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. Facebook fights are on starting 6:30PM (EST), FX portion starts at 8PM, and the main card (PPV) goes live at 10PM.
