UFC 166: Velasquez vs. Dos Santos III Predictions

October 19, 2013

UFC 166 is just a few hours away. Headlined by the most anticipated Heavyweight bout of 2013, UFC 166 clearly has what it takes to become a great night of fights.

Hereby are our predictions:

Cain Velasquez vs. Junior dos Santos: Third fight between those two Heavyweight warriors is expect to be the deciding one. With Cain Velasquez dominating in his last fight, it seems as JDS still has what it takes to dethrone the champion. Our bet goes to the Brazilian. Second round TKO.

Daniel Cormier vs. Roy Nelson: DC is on his way down to 205, weighing-in at 225lbs for this fight. Roy Nelson looks great sans the beer belly, and with his legendary right hand – you can definitely expect the unexpected. Big Country via TKO in Round 3.

Gilbert Melendez vs. Diego Sanchez: This one has Fight of the Night written all over it. Both Sanchez and Melendez are known for leaving it all inside the Octagon. Sanchez will win via Decision.

Gabriel Gonzaga vs. Shawn Jordan: Representing Jackson’s-Winkeljohn’s MMA Academy in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Shawn Jordan is a clear favorite to win this fight. Everyone knows Gabriel Gonzaga is a dangerous opponent, but this fight has Shawn Jordan via KO written all over it.

John Dodson vs. Darrell Montague: Another Jackson’s fighter, John Dodson, will welcome Darrell Montague in what will be his first fight in the UFC. With Dodson already fighting for the title, and Montague dealing with the infamous Octagon jitters, “The Magician” has a clear route to decision victory.
