UFC Fight Night 66 Live From Manila This Saturday
For the first time ever, the UFC will put on a show in the Philippines this Saturday live from Manila with UFC Fight Night 66, Edgar versus Faber. This is exciting news for Filipino fight fans, hungry for live MMA from the world’s top promotion.
In the main event, Frankie Edgar takes on Urijah Faber. Expect the expected in this one. The pace will be furious and both fighters will leave it on the line. Faber is a 3-1 dog and unless he shows something new in his arsenal, expect Edgar to push him to the limit.
In the co-main event, Gegard Mousasi takes on Costas Philippou in a middleweight scrap fest. These are both UFC veterans and this is a top 15-division fight, so expect some hands to be thrown and if things get loose, a possible knockout.
Best of the rest:
Mark Munoz takes on Luke Barnatt in a middleweight bout and Munoz’s final fight. The UFC gave him the honor of having his final fight in front of his home Filipino crowd, so look for the arena to be extra loud for this one as they rally behind their retiring fighter.
Hyun Gyu Lim versus Neil Magny in a welterweight battle. Magny is on a hot streak and this is not a fight to sleep on.
After last weeks first fight ever in Adelaide, the UFC continues its tour to another new destination in the Manila. VFD gives brands opportunities to capitalize on the growing popularity of the UFC and MMA, and that popularity will be on display this Saturday.
You can catch the prelims at 8am ET and the main card at 10am ET on Fox Sports 1.
