UFC Fight Night 67 Recap
UFC Fight Night 67 took place this Saturday night in Goiania, Brazil with #4 ranked welterweight Carlos Condit blasting #14 ranked Thiago Alves in the main event with a viscous elbow that led to a stoppage in between rounds 2 and 3. This was Condit’s first fight since ACL surgery and he came back with a thunder. While Alves took the brunt of Condit’s punishment, he did show the toughness that we always expect from him. Carlos Condit is on his way up the welterweight ranks.
In the co-main event, Brazilian Charles Oliveira defeated Nik Lentz via submission in the third round. Oliveira has a bright future ahead of him as he moves up the featherweight ladder.
Alex Oliveira submitted KJ Noons in the first round of their welterweight clash. He was dominant in victory.
VFD gives brands opportunities to take advantage of the growing popularity of MMA and the UFC. Carlos Condit was a huge story coming out of this show because no one knew how good he would be after injury. He answered those questions and then some picking up where he left off as a striking machine.
