UFC To Hold First Fight Card In Maine

August 12, 2014

After a couple quiet weeks in the Octagon, the UFC will hold UFC Fight Night 47 from Bangor, ME, this Saturday, August 16. This marks the first ever event held in Maine and is a testament to the expansion and reach of the UFC. “It’s an amazing time to be involved with the UFC,” said Elie Deshe, co-founder and managing partner of VFD Marketing, a top MMA sports marketing agency. “Fight fans from Maine finally get not only a UFC event, but a nationally televised fight card with some interesting matchups that should feed their cravings.”

It’s an exciting time for not only fighters and fans, but for brands to leverage the exposure to drive business in the growing MMA demographic. “All of our clients have been overly impressed with their return on investment when it comes to MMA sponsorships. With the amount of quality fight cards, companies that normally would not look to sports to market their products have the ability to try something outside of their standard channels and thrive,” continued Deshe.

UFC Fight Night 47 will televise the preliminary card on Fox Sports 2 and the main card can be found on Fox Sports 1. It’s a great time to be an MMA enthusiast.
