Not only those that have already established themselves as a household names, but also those that are working their way up to the top. Everyone has to start from somewhere, right? Well, those guys down the list have already paid their dues in the UFC to a certain degree. Now is their time to become superstars.


Gunnar Nelson


Fighting out of Iceland, Gunnar Nelson is without a doubt one of the rising stars of the Octagon. Known for his explosive grappling, Nelson presents a stoic character that quickly became somewhat of a psychological weapon. Currently undefeated in the UFC, Gunnar Nelson is already touted as one of the future contenders for a shot at the UFC Welterweight title.


Khabib Nurmagomedov


Similar to Gunnar Nelson, Khabib Nurmagomedov is widely considered as one of the rising stars in the UFC. Currently competing in the Lightweight division, Nurmagomedov is undefeated in his MMA career, with clear sights on fighting for the title. Nurmagomedov is a dark horse in one of the toughest combat sports divisions on the planet. He will surely be ‘in the mix’ towards the end of this year.


Connor McGregor


So what else we can say about Connor McGregor? Seems like this hipster’ish Irishman has fought his way under the radar straight into the hearts of MMA fans around the world. His unorthodox style makes him super exciting to watch and cheer for. Outside the Octagon McGregor is just as exciting, with plenty to expect from him later this year.

Nicknamed “Fury”, Myles Jury is fresh off the biggest victory of his professional MMA career against Diego Sanchez. MMA fans Jury from The Ultimate Fighter, where he competed for Team Cruz. Myles Jury is undefeated in his professional career, and is widely regarded as one of the future stars. His next fight is expected to be against a Top 5 opponent.


Brandon Thatch


Many people still don’t know the name of Brandon Thatch that well. Yet, Thatch is definitely on the rise to become a huge star in the UFC. When you’re beating a veteran like Paulo Thiago with such ease, you definitely have what it takes to become a champion. Keep your eye on Brandon Thatch.
