September 13, 2012

September has been a very peculiar month for the UFC.  With the first-ever cancellation of an event taking place over Labor Day weekend, MMA fans have had to turn to the beginning of football season to get their contact-sport fix.  All of that is about to change at around the same time as the leaves outside do.

While the end of the month features Jon Jones returning to the Octagon to face Vitor Belfort, the non-stop action begins in October, as many VFD Sports athletes return to the cage.  On October 5 in Minneapolis, Travis Browne headlines UFC on FX 5 against Bigfoot Silva, while on the same card Bart Palaszewski battles Diego Nunes.

The following week, two more VFD fighters join the UFC 153 card as Diego Brandao takes on Joey Gambino, and Luiz Cane squares up against Chris Camozzi.  Both Brandao and Cane are excited to fight in their native country and look forward to putting on a show for the fans in Rio.

Stay tuned to VFD Sports for continuing coverage of these events.
